Fedor Malykhin first came to national attention in 2015 when he made his first solo debut with the Voronezh State Philharmonic performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Since then, Malykhin has appeared with notable orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Tolyatti Symphony Orchestra and Gnessins Academy Symphony Orchestra.
Fedor has appeared at the National Orchestral Institute + Festival, the Round Top Festival Institute and Music in the Mountains Festival. As an avid chamber musician, he has collaborated with renowned chamber musicians, orchestral players and international soloists including Brett Deubner, Stephen Balderstone, Aaron Boyd, Barbara Sudweeks, Will Roberts, Jesus Castro-Balbi, Roger Myers, Tomas Cotik and Christiano Rodrigues.
Fedor is currently pursuing a degree at the University of North Texas where he has been awarded the Brock String Scholarship. His principal teachers include Julia Bushkova, Emanuel Borok, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Aaron Boyd, Pierre Lapointe, Alexander Dogadaev and Alexey Koshvanets.
