Alondra Damian-Noyola is a freshman Viola Performance Major at the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at the University of Michigan. She began private lessons at thirteen years old with Mrs. Lisa Mattson, Assistant Principal Violist of the Naples Philharmonic, and currently studies with Professor Caroline Coade of the Detroit Symphony.
Alondra previously enjoyed participating in student orchestra opportunities like the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Florida All State Orchestra, and the New World Symphony Side by Side Ensemble.
Alondra previously enjoyed participating in local competitions such as the Music Foundation of Greater Naples’ Scholarship Competition, in which she has received Second Place in 2021 and honorable mentions in 2019 and 2020. Additionally, Alondra was the Grand Prize winner in the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and debuted with the Naples Philharmonic in May of 2022.
Alondra currently plays in the University Philharmonia Orchestra and is involved in the chamber music program at SMTD.
In her free time she likes to start (but not finish) crochet projects, eating out with friends, go thrifting, and feeding the UM campus squirrels.
