Born in Venezuela, Adan started his cello studies at the Colegio Emil Friedman with teachers Elisabeta Grosz and Mauricio Lopez, among others. At age 11 he was accepted into the Academia Latinoamericana de Violoncello studying under Jose David Marquez. After moving to Panama he studied with teachers Isaac Casal and Sebastien Hurtaud. Chamber music teachers include Scott Cuellar, Francesca dePasquale, Darrett Adkins and members of the Verona Quartet. He was a prizewinner in the Concurso de Solistas Alfredo de Saint Malo 2019. He has played in the cello sections of the University of Panama’s Symphony Orchestra, Panama National Symphony Orchestra, and was principal cellist in the Orquesta Juvenil Iberoamericana during their 2019 residence in Mexico City, Mexico. He is currently in his second year of undergraduate studies at Oberlin Conservatory as a student of Dmitry Kouzov.
