Naomi Sun began her harp studies in 2012, with Linda Wood Rollo. Currently, she is at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music, studying with Professor Paula Page.
Naomi served as the Principal Harpist of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2019 to 2022, where she was coached by the San Francisco Symphony's Principal Harpist, Douglas Rioth.
Recently, in 2022, Naomi was named a National YoungArts Winner for the second time. In 2021, she received the honor of placing 3rd in the Intermediate II division of the 2021 American Harp Society's National Competition.
Naomi's other notable solo awards and performances include the Stars of Tomorrow recital at the 12th USA International Harp Competition in 2021. She also received the Grand Prize and Ambassador Middendorf Scholarship Award of the United States Navy Band's Solo Competition in 2019, where she then performed the Handel Harp Concerto with the US Navy Band. In 2020, Naomi was a solo performer in Carnegie Hall, under the National League of Performing Arts' Young Artists Showcase Competition, as the Grand Prize Scholarship Award winner.
