Brandon is former Acting Principal Tuba with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. He held the same position with the Manitoba Opera and Royal Winnipeg Ballet. He began his studies at The Manhattan School of Music and is pursuing his master’s degree at McGill University. His teachers have included Austin Howle and Sasha Johnson, with additional mentorship from Warren Deck, Chris Hall, and Derek Fenstermacher.

Brandon has placed at several solo competitions across the U.S., most notably winning top prize at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference Tuba Solo Artist Competition, later presenting an artist recital at The University of North Carolina.vBrandon has performed with The National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute and National Academy Orchestra of Canada. During the summers, he has attended The Aspen Music Festival and School, and The National Youth Orchestra of Canada.

As an educator, Brandon is a former Sessional Instructor (Faculty) at The University of Manitoba and taught students privately in Winnipeg. While in New York City, he also temporarily mentored students in the Music Advancement Placement program at The Juilliard School.
