In high school, I was a two-time winner of my high school’s Concerto Competition, and performed as a featured xylophone soloist with the Wind Ensemble in both years. I studied through high school with Brad Meyer and Don Lawler. In the summer preceding my first semester of undergraduate music studies, I participated in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI) Percussion Workshop and Young Artist Orchestra. During my time there, I studied with George Nickson, Samuel Solomon, Kyle Brightwell, and Marcelina Suchocka. I am now in my freshman year of undergraduate studies as a Percussion Performance major at Baylor University, where I study with Todd Meehan and Arlo Shultis. I am a member of the Baylor Wind Ensemble, the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, and the Baylor Percussion Group, and plan plan to begin undergraduate conducting studies in the spring semester with
Miguel Harth-Bedoya. In November of 2022, I was the First Runner-Up in the PASIC Timpani Mock Audition.
