Elizabeth Chernyak is a third year at Bard College and Conservatory, where she is studying violin performance under Daniel Phillips and has a second major in biology. Elizabeth has participated in many ensembles, including the Windsor Symphony Youth Orchestra, Little Delaware Youth Ensemble, Binghamton Youth Symphony Orchestra, Hartwick Chamber Orchestra, and Bard Conservatory Orchestra. In 2015, Elizabeth attended the Kiwanis Music Festival, where she won the Monetary Festival Strings Award and John Rutherford Award. Elizabeth won a spot in the Oneonta Concert Association Youth Program in 2017 and the Binghamton Youth Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2020. Elizabeth attended the Eastern Music Festival in 2019 and 2021, where she studied with Uli Speth and Julian Schwartz, and Avi Nagin, respectively. Elizabeth has performed in several masterclasses and workshops led by notable musicians including Richard Rood, Simin Ginatra of the Pacifica Quartet, and Jeffrey Multer. She has also studied with Uli Speth, Erica Kiesewetter, Carmit Zori, Gil Shaham, Randall Weiss, and Nancy Chang.
