Oboist William Dunlop is entering his sophomore year at the Juilliard School, studying with Elaine Douvas. During the 2021-22 season he held the principal oboe position in the New York Youth Symphony under the direction of Mike Repper, performing at venues such as Carnegie Hall and National Sawdust. He is a graduate of Juilliard Pre-College, where he studied with Elaine Douvas and Yousun Chung. Prior to Juilliard, Will also studied with Terry Keevil of North Shore Pro Musica and Robert Sheena of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. From 2014 to 2021, Will performed with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York and in 2018 he toured with them in Europe as principal oboist. In 2021, Will was the winner of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra concerto competition. This summer, in addition to Round Top Festival Institute, Will will be attending Taipei Music Academy and Festival with a Friends of TMAF scholarship.
