My name is Isaac Fuentes, and I am currently in my final semester at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor's of Music in Viola Performance. Prof. Roger Myers has been my primary instructor for the past four years, and I have received additional coaching and direction from Farkhad Khudyev, John Largess, Joshua Gindele, and Daniel Ching. I have performed several concerts as Principal Violist of the UT Symphony Orchestra, premiered works with the UT New Music Ensemble, and have performed chamber music in Bates Recital Hall at UT Austin. I have received numerous awards from the University of Texas at Austin including a 2021-2022 University Wide Endowed Presidential Scholarship and recognition as a distinguished college scholar in 2020. I spent the summer of 2019 as an Orchestral Fellow at the Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival, and the summer of 2020 attending the Green Mountain Festival online, during which I performed in a masterclass for Lawrence Dutton of the Emerson String Quartet.
