Luke Stikeleather is an active violinist in the Greensboro, NC area. He started his musical journey at 6 years old when he began piano lessons. He later began violin lessons at the age of 13, and realized that he wanted to be a violinist. In high school, Luke was a member of the Winston-Salem Youth Orchestra, serving as concertmaster his senior year. In addition to youth orchestra, he occasionally played with the Lake Norman Orchestra by invitation from his teacher at the time. In Spring of 2017, Luke performed a as soloist with the Lake Norman Orchestra. Luke is a recent graduate of UNCG, graduating this past May of 2022. He plays professionally in a few orchestras in the area including the Western Piedmont Symphony and the Fayetteville Symphony. Luke is also very active in arts administration, completing an internship with ArtsGreensboro, the arts council of Guilford County last fall. Luke studied under Kevin Lawrence during his time in the Winston-Salem Youth Orchestra, and currently studies with Marjorie Bagley at UNCG.
