Isabelle Fromme is a second-year cello performance major at the University of California at Los Angeles, currently studying with Antonio Lysy. Previous teachers are her father, Randolph Fromme, Jennifer Culp, and Bonnie Hampton. Isabelle was a SFCM Pre-College student for four years; she advanced on cello and piano through chamber music and theory classes. For three years, she was cellist of Ruth Asawa’s Dragon Quartet, the string quartet that represents her arts high school, where she had the opportunity to work with the Kronos quartet including performances in the Kronos Festival. Isabelle was also a member of the San Francisco Youth Orchestra. In the summer of 2019, they toured Europe, including Copenhagen, Vienna, Hamburg, Berlin, and Budapest. Summer festivals include Lancaster’s International Piano Festival, and the Dominican Summer Chamber Music Camp.

In her free time, Isabelle enjoys photography, making short films, writing songs, doing special effects makeup, and drawing.
