I am an international student from Venezuela. I have been playing violin since the age of 6 years old with professors that were co-founders of El Sistema and that play in the Orquesta Sinfonica de Venezuela. In Venezuela, I was the Concertmaster for 2-3 years in my school’s highest-level orchestra, Arcos Juaveniles de Venezuela, conducted by Ulyses Ascanio. I have participated in many chamber groups, quartets, trios, quintets, and octets, where I have performed not only classical pieces but also traditional music from my country and other parts of South America. And I was once invited to perform with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Venezuela in the musical recording and concert.I am currently starting my Senior year of school as an undergraduate student at the University of North Texas. Here, I was selected to be in Dr. Felix Olschofka’s studio and recently, I have been taking lessons with Ms. Eunice Keem, the Associate Concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. With her I have been able to not just work on violin solo pieces, but also on many orchestral excerpts.Since last semester, I am part of Symphony Orchestra at UNT, a lab orchestra and I have been playing several chamber works
