Frank Carrubba III hails from San Antonio, Texas. His principal instructors are William Caballero, Patrick Hughes, Eric Ralske, and John Zirbel. Prior to his studies in Cincinnati; Frank completed his Master's at Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor's at The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Carrubba enjoys an active freelance career and has performed with the Kentucky Symphony, Dayton Philharmonic, Toledo Symphony, Westmoreland Symphony, and Austin Civic Orchestra. Previously he has been a fellow of the Aspen Music Festival and School, Spoleto Festival USA, and The American Wind Symphony Orchestra.
