Viola
Houston, Texas
University of North Texas
I began playing the viola at the age of 12. I realized music was my passion early in high school and wanted to play for the rest of my life and pursue it as a career. My sophomore year, I was Principal Violist of the Region 33 Philharmonic Orchestra. The next two years of high school, I was Assistant Principal Violist of the Region 33 Symphony Orchestra. I studied with Violist Sergein Yap from 2016-2020. In addition to the Region Orchestras, I joined the Houston Youth Symphony my senior year where I was Assistant Principal of the Symphony Orchestra for the 2019-2020 concert cycle. I was selected to be the substitute violist of the Undergraduate String Quartet at the University of North Texas coached by Julia Bushkova in the fall of 2020. I am in the spring semester of my sophomore year studying with Dr. Susan Dubois. I am currently Assistant Principal Violist of the UNT Concert Orchestra
