Alberto Suarez

Alberto Suarez was born to Cuban parents in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, and raised in South Florida. In addition to serving as principal horn of the Kansas City Symphony, holding the Landon and Sarah Rowland Chair. Suarez has served as guest principal horn with the Milwaukee and Fort Worth Symphonies and has toured internationally as guest associate principal horn with the Pittsburgh Symphony. Suarez has appeared as a soloist with the Kansas City Symphony and the Overland Park Symphony. Suarez was a member of the New World Symphony, the Sphinx Symphony, and has toured internationally with the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the New York Symphonic Ensemble. As an educator, Suarez has taught masterclasses at the University of Kansas, University of Missouri at Kansas City, Manhattan School of Music and the New World Symphony, among others.
Alberto is an alumnus of the Round Top Festival Institute (2000, 2001)
