Housekeeper     Job Description

We are looking for Full-time, Part-time and Seasonal employees to work on a large rural campus with 18 buildings, bedrooms, meeting rooms, performance venues, office areas. You will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Crew Leader.

HOURS: Normal weekday shift 7:30am-4:30pm (hour for lunch). Some evenings, weekends and holidays. Some overtime possible. Starting pay $14 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Work physically demanding; includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, using chemical cleaning agents; making beds; laundry; washing windows; restocking amenities and supplies. Some work outdoors (cleaning windows, sweeping stairs, patios, sidewalks, etc.). Must be able to climb and carry supplies, equipment and laundry up and down stairs; bend, twist, lift.

REQUIREMENTS: Looking for mature persons who are at least 16 years old. Must be able to communicate with others and understand and follow directions; can work as part of a team and also be able to work alone with minimal supervision, depending on assignment.

Must follow required dress code; must be punctual and reliable; must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift (average 7-8 hours per shift, lunch break is allowed).

Part-time employees work a regular schedule all year. Some benefits are available for part-time positions (PTO and paid holidays).

Seasonal positions are assigned duties during busy periods such as the Summer Music Festival and Antiques Weeks. Hours vary.
