19th Annual Poetry at Round Top
Friday April 24 - Sunday April 26, 2020

Held on the serene campus of Round Top Festival Institute, Poetry at Round Top is an annual festival presenting the nation's most exciting and prominent poets over three days of readings, workshops, and conversations on craft.

Public Poetry "POETRY RIDE from HOUSTON to ROUND TOP" participants:

Register for the Festival on the Public Poetry website as part of the Poetry Ride Package. Then sign up for Workshops and Consultations here. Click on the "View Prices and Purchase" button above.

Featured Poets include Mark Doty, Allison Joseph, Alicia Ostriker, ire'ne lara silva, Mary Szybist, Edward Vidaurre and Jenny Xie. Musical Program by Dr. Adrian Ruiz. The Schedule of Events for the three-day weekend is posted on the Poetry at Round Top website.

Workshops. Festival Registration is required plus $40 fee for each workshop. Full descriptions for the optional workshops are posted at Poetry at Round Top/Workshops. Workshops are limited to three per person. Workshops are offered in 75-minute sessions. After registration opens, select the workshop by workshop leader, date and time when you make your purchase. (NOTE: The Festival Hill office monitors workshop sales to avoid an oversell. However, in the event that a workshop sells out and the number of participants exceeds the maximum of 15, the last buyer will be contacted to choose another workshop.)

Private Manuscript Consultations. Festival Registration is required plus $75 fee for the private consultation. Limit 1 per person. Private Manuscript Consultations are 30-minute one-on-one consultations with an accomplished poet. The manuscript (portfolio) consists of up to ten-pages of poetry. Consultants are ire’ne lara silva, Edward Vidaurre, and Sasha West. Available consultation sessions are listed in the shopping cart. After registration opens, select the manuscript consultation by poet, date and time when you make your purchase.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:
A 20% fee will be deducted from all refunds requested on or before April 17, 2020. No refunds can be given after April 17, 2020.

Accommodations:
A limited number of rooms on the Festival Hill campus are available for overnight accommodations. Select and pay for registration, meals, optional workshops and private manuscript consultations online. Send an email to reservations@festivalhill.org or call 979-249-3129 to make room reservations. Room reservations will be processed after registration opens on February 17 at 9:00 am.
