A deluxe large format book describing and illustrating this lavish mansion. It was designed by architect Maurice Hébert; he was born in France but came to America at the age of twenty. His first major project was a French Chateau style mansion on Riverside Drive for Bethlehem Steel magnate Charles M. Schwab. It was completed between 1901 and 1905. In 1948, it was demolished and replaced with an apartment building. Includes reproductions of Hébert drawings, photos of newspaper articles and letters about the mansion, advertisements for contractors, manufacturers and artists associated with the building. Embossed color leather cover. Inscribed by architect.
