Unlikely Critters of the Big Thicket
Louis Hofferbert
Big Thicket Museum, 1973

Humorous observations of "almost true tales" such as Little Richard, the Flying dog..."whether Little Richard was a flying dog or a barking crow depended on the point of view." Louis Hoerbeert wrote the Texas Notebook column for the Houston Chronicle, in which some of these stories first appeared. Illustrated by Clyde Peterson inscribed by Ralph Yarborough to his son Richard, who drafted the first Big Thicket bill introduced in Congress in 1974. From the Libraries of Ralph Yarborough's Family
