Maia Law began her studies at Indiana University last fall with a full scholarship under the prestigious Wells Scholars Program. She studies with Mark Kaplan and previously attended the Music Institute of Chicago as a Merit Scholar in the studio of Addison Teng. Maia has won prizes in the Walgreens National Concerto Competition and Sejong Music Competition and has played in masterclasses for many renowned artists, including James Ehnes, Miriam Fried, Cho Liang Lin and Andrés Cárdenes.

As a soloist, Maia has performed internationally as part of the Teng Studio-In-Residence tours of the Philippines (2016), Greece (2018), San Marino (2019), and Italy (2019), where they performed on national television. Maia has also performed with the Montecito International Music Festival Orchestra, New Trier Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Irvine in California.

An aspiring orchestral musician, Maia was concertmaster of both the New Trier Symphony and Chamber orchestras, in addition to the Montecito International Music Festival Orchestra in the 2017 and 2019 seasons. Maia is currently continuing her orchestral studies as a member of the IU New Music Ensemble under the direction of Dr. David Dzubay.
