Paul Zmick is a cellist currently finishing a master’s degree in performance with Stephen Balderston at the DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, IL. He earned his undergraduate degree at Baylor University in Waco, TX, where he studied with Dr. Gary Hardie, was a principal cellist of the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, and performed with the Waco Symphony and Temple Symphony Orchestras. Paul also taught private lessons and assisted with group classes at the Central Texas String Academy, a Suzuki program in Waco throughout his undergraduate degree.

In Illinois, Paul has performed in the DePaul Symphony Orchestra and the School of music’s 20th century/contemporary Ensemble 20+. He also holds a substitute position with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Chicago Composer’s Orchestra.

Paul has previously attended the summer Festival-Institute at Round Top and Brevard Music Center.
