Jeff Sagurton is a sophomore at Boston University studying orchestral percussion with Kyle Brightwell and Timothy Genis of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Jeff is a substitute percussionist with the New England Philharmonic and the Charles River Wind Ensemble, and he was a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra for the 2017-2018 season, aside from frequently holding principal positions in Boston University School of Music’s ensembles. Last summer, Jeff attended Miami Music Festival as a scholarship recipient, where he studied with Jacob Nissly. Jeff previously attended the Chosen Vale International Percussion Seminar, where he performed in chamber concerts and in masterclasses hosted by Doug Perkins, Nancy Zeltsman, Michael Burritt, and Ivan Treviño. Also passionate about teaching, Jeff serves as Percussion Teaching Assistant at Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. Jeff has performed in a wide array of venues including Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, the New World Center, and Wally’s Jazz Club in Boston.
