Callum Robbins-Gennerich

2019 Round Top Music Festival

Violin
Tucson, Arizona
University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music
Callum Robbins-Gennerich has been praised for his exciting and energetic performances; in 2015 Ray Chen described his performance of Kriesler’s Praeludium and Allegro as “Powerful and Sensitive.” Callum grew up in Tucson, beginning piano lessons at 4 and violin at 7 (out of jealousy that his little brother got to play the violin, but he didn’t). Callum currently studies at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, where he is obtaining his Master’s degree in Violin Performance and studies with Timothy Kantor. He has an extensive background in solo playing, chamber music, and Symphony Orchestra repertoire, performing regularly with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in music festivals around the country, including Roundtop Festival Institute, Marrowstone Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, Alaska Chamber Music Festival, and Chamber Music in the Mountains. When not practicing, Callum can often be found watching The Office or listening to political news.
