Mr. Tyler Webster is currently in the Doctrate of Musical Arts program at the University of Texas at Austin with a focus in clarinet performance. In tandem with his degree, he was hired to be the Assistant Clarinet Instructor for the studio, which includes teaching private lessons to all the freshman and sophomore music majors. Mr. Webster also holds an artist diploma from the University of Texas at Austin, masters in music degree from Northwestern University and a bachelors from Texas Tech University. His primary teachers include Jonathan Gunn, Steve Cohen, and David Shea.
Mr. Webster leads an active orchestral life as well and is a member of the Midland Odessa Symphony and Chorale, the Abilene Philharmonic. He also substitutes regularly with the Big Spring Symphony, Victoria Symphony, Round Rock Symphony, and the San Antonio Symphony.
Tyler is a founding member of the Prismatx New Music Ensemble and LISTEN woodwind quintet. Both perform regularly in Austin.
Tyler has also attended Brevard Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, Aria, Domaine Forget in the past.
