2019 Round Top Music Festival

Bass Trombone
Atlanta, GA
Georgia State University
I joined Band in the sixth grade at the insistence of my parents and by High School had developed a love for Music and the Trombone. We couldn't afford to have a private instructor so my first lesson experience was as an undergraduate composition major at Georgia State University. Throughout my undergraduate studies I took every opportunity I had to perform. I played with the Marching Band, the Jazz Band, the Wind Ensemble, the Orchestra, the Trombone Choir, and various quintets and quartets. I presented a Senior recital for both Trombone and Composition in my last year and graduate with honors with my degree in Composition. I came back to GSU for my masters in trombone performance, and graduate in the spring of this year.
Primary Teachers: Dr. Cory Mixdorf and Dr. William Mann, trombone
Brent Milam and Dr. Nickitas Demos, composition

In the summer of 2018 I was selected for the Third Coast Trombone retreat and got to work with Nick Schwartz, Sebastian Vera, Jim Nova, Colin Williams and Paul Pollard in lessons, chamber coachings, and masterclasses.

I have moved on to the second round of the GSU Honor's Recital, a performance competition open to those with a 3.0 or higher.
