A recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, Napier is currently a first year masters student at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She received her BM in Viola Performance and Music Education, and is presently pursuing a masters degree in Viola Performance and Pedagogy. Napier’s previous summer festival attendance has included the Round Top Festival Institute, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, and Montecito International Music Festival, among others. She has been involved with several productions of new and contemporary premieres over the course of her nascent career, including her feature as a soloist in the American premiere of Juhani Nuorvala’s Variationes ex bene quondam, with the CU Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her passion for ensemble and solo performance, Napier harbors a profound love of teaching, and continues striving to bridge the connection between her artistic and pedagogical endeavors. At present, Napier studies under the tutelage of Erika Eckert, and is a former student of Yizhak Schotten at the University of Michigan.
