Clarinetist Sam Frenduto’s performances have taken her from orchestral music festivals in North Carolina and Tennessee to venues in Austria, Italy, and the Czech Republic, most notably Dvorak Hall in Prague. Throughout her undergrad, Sam attended Brevard Music Center, Eastern Music Festival, and Sewanee Summer Music Festival. In 2016 at Brevard, Sam performed alongside clarinetist Steve Cohen in the faculty orchestra and worked with conductors Keith Lockhart, Joann Falleta, and Ken Lam. In the summer of 2016, Sam was selected as a featured soloist for the UNCG Wind Ensemble European Concert Tour. As a recipient of the Mi​nerva Music Scholarship at UNCG, Sam received full tuition.

Sam graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro College of Visual and Performing Arts with a BM in Music Performance in 2017 where she studied with Dr. Anthony Taylor. Sam is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Performance at the New England Conservatory where she studies with Boston Symphony clarinetist, Michael Wayne.
