Mannes school of music
Winner of Art-chef 1st concerto audition, and performed Mendelssohn violin concerto with Boston Chamber Orchestra in its Japan Tour. Yukiko Kuhara started her violin study when she was 10 years old and became a prize winner of the 13th Kyushu Music Competition after only four years of study. She is also a gold and silver place winner of the 50th and 51st Nagasaki Music Competition for High School Students, and National Finalist of the 24th Japan Classical Music Competition. She participated in ͞Youth and Muse͟ Boston international Summer Music Festival. She has also appeared in concerts held by Arkas Sasebo Violin Seminar 2009 and 2010, 5th Nagasaki Spring Music Days, 24th and 26th Nagasaki Young Talent Concert, Nagayo Peace Concert, Seahat Music Festival, H.23 Across Fukuoka Violin Seminar, Okhotsk Monbetsu Music Seminars, Nagasaki Ojika International Music Festival, Nara international Music Seminar of Ryokuin, Akiyoshi Music Academy, and Meadowmount School of Music. Her past teachers include Takako Yamazaki, Kyoko Kanke, Kahori Iwamura, Seiji Kageyama, Katsuya Matsubara, Sakura Matsumoto, Sally Thomas and Ann Setzer. Currently she studies at Mannes College of Music with Wen Qian.
