Eli Pandolfi, nineteen, is a sophomore at the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Javier Gándara. He has also studied with Denise Tryon, Thomas Jöstlein, and Tod Bowermaster. Eli is a recipient of the Richard E. Adams named scholarship and the Catherine Werner memorial scholarship. He began playing the horn at age 12, inspired by his grandfather Roland, who was the principal horn of the St. Louis Symphony for many years. Having heard great horn playing from a very young age, Eli took a great interest in the instrument and has been pursuing it passionately ever since. After playing for two years in school bands and orchestras, he began studying privately with Tod Bowermaster and aspiring to become a professional orchestral horn player. Eli has performed with many ensembles during his education, such as the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, Peabody Wind Ensemble, and MSM Symphony.
