Rebecca Edge is a freshman recipient of the Premier Young Artist Award at Indiana University, where she studies with Jorja Fleezanis and is principal 2nd of the University Orchestra. She began violin with Lev Gurevich, and continued studies with Rimma Bergeron-Langlois. She attended Boston University Tanglewood Institute on merit scholarship where she served as principal 2nd under Ken-David Masur, Paul Haas, Tito Muñoz, and Ankush Kumar Bahl for three summers. She has participated in Castleman Quartet Program, where she studied with Eastman and Frost School of Music faculty, and in Miami Summer Music Festival, where she received instruction from Gary Levinson, Joel Smirnoff, Yuriy Bekker, Michael Klotz and performed under David Effron. She has been a substitute in the Orlando Philharmonic since 2014.
She placed in the BRAVO International Chamber Music Workshop competition, where she studied with principals of the Buffalo Philharmonic. She has played in masterclasses with Suliman Tekalli, Lara St. John, Andrés Cárdenes, Peter Zazofsky, Lucia Lin and Jason Horowitz of the Boston Symphony, Joann Falletta, and the Bergonzi, Muir, and St. Petersburg String Quartets.
