Abigail Fuchs is 20 years old and was born and raised in Frisco, Texas. She graduated from Heritage High School in 2015. Abigail first started playing violin at the age of four studying with former teacher, Nicolette Solomon, from 2001-2009. She began studying with former Dallas Symphony Orchestra violinist, Jan Mark Sloman, from 2009-2015. Abigail made the All-Region orchestras for seven years, and was a TMEA All-State Orchestra member for four years. She has won awards from various competitions including Collin County Young Artists Competition, the Juanita Miller competition, and the Dallas Music Teachers Association Symphonic Festival. She was chosen as a finalist for the Dallas Music Teachers Association Symphonic Festival where she soloed with the Southern Methodist University orchestra. In 2014-2015, Abigail was the Texas MTNA winner for the South Central Division, and advanced to compete in the National Finals. She attended The Institute for Strings for seven consecutive summers in Dallas, Texas. She attended the Meadowmount School of Music for four years in Westport, New York. During her time at Meadowmount, she studied with Jan Mark Sloman and also worked with Ann Setz
