Chris Nelson is a sophomore violin performance major at Chapman University. Along with being a recipient of the Temianka Scholarship for String Studies, he plays the Henri Temianka-Albert Saparoff violin, on loan to him by the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music.

Chris has had numerous masterclasses with some of the United State’s top pedagogues and performers, some of which include Cornelia Heard, Cho-Liang Lin, Paul Kantor, Bettina Mussumeli, and Ray Chen.

Chris hails from Palos Verdes California, formerly under the tutelage of Gail Mellert. He now studies with William Fitzpatrick.
