Lea Fetterman graduated from Western Washington University in December, 2017 with a BA in Music Education. She grew up on Bainbridge Island, WA, and began playing the violin when she was eight years old. While on Bainbridge, she was part of the Bainbridge Youth Orchestra and sat Concertmaster for three years. She also played with the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Youth Orchestras, and in the Ovation! Musical Theater pit orchestra as Concertmaster.

At Western, she studied violin with Grant Donnellan and Walter Schwede. Ms. Fetterman sat both Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin of the Western Symphony Orchestra, and studied orchestral conducting with Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel. Ms. Fetterman attended Marrowstone Summer Music Festival every summer from 2011 to 2014, and attended Round Top Festival Institute in 2016 and 2017.

Currently, Ms. Fetterman serves as the acting Concertmaster for the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra, teaches and coaches in the greater Seattle area, and is continuing her studies in orchestral conducting and arranging music independently.
