Daniel Haddock, a native of Decatur, Alabama, is a recent alumnus of the Brevard Music Center. He was named Brass Winner in The National Federation of Music Clubs Student/Collegiate Audition, and he has appeared as a featured soloist with both the Auburn University Symphonic Band and Florida State University Wind Orchestra. As a soloist, Daniel has won accolades in a number of competitions, including Southern Division Winner in the Music Teachers National Association Competition, Top-Ten Finalist in the U.S. Army National Collegiate Solo Competition, and Semi-Finalist in the National Trumpet Competition. Having obtained a B.M. in Performance from Auburn University, Daniel is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Brass Performance from the Florida State University College of Music, where he serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the trumpet studio. During his studies, he has performed and lectured with the graduate brass quintet, Garnet and Brass, and the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. Daniel owes his gratitude to his primary teachers over the years, who include Christopher Moore, Mark DeGoti, Nancy Taylor, Marc Reed, and Glenn Spiller.
