Molly Langr began studying the harp at the age of six with ShruDeLi Ownbey. In 2011, she won the Salzedo Prize at the American Harp Society national competition intermediate division. She was a soloist with the Utah Symphony at age 11, and again at 17, as part of their Salute to Youth program. Molly is a four time Utah Symphony Youth Guild recital winner. In 2013, she was a finalist in the American Harp Society Competition and attended the Saratoga Harp Colony on scholarship where she studied with Maria Luisa Rayan and Elizabeth Hainen. In 2014 she was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America, as well as a Young Arts winner. Molly was a selected masterclass student for the Lyon and Healy 150th Anniversary celebration and participated in masterclasses with Sarah Bullen and Judy Loman. In 2015, she attended the Texas Music Festival and Eastern Music Festival where she performed with both student and faculty orchestras. Last summer she was an orchestra fellow at the Round Top Festival Institute. Molly is a junior at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studies with Doug Rioth, and is the recipient of the Marcella DeCray scholarship.
