As a first year student at Northwestern University, I study under She-e Wu as well as Christopher Lamb (New York Phil) and Vadim Karpinos (Chicago Symphony). I previously studied with Manuel Maldonado and Jordan Stern (a Round Top alum).

As a high schooler, I made TMEA All-State three years consecutively, being named principal my sophomore and senior years. Additionally I participated in TMEA Region Jazz. I competed at the Texas State University solo percussion competition sophomore and senior years, winning the overall prize both times. I was the Sousa Award winner of my high school’s band program.

This past summer I was invited to join the National Youth Orchestra of USA to perform in Carnegie Hall and halls across Europe with conductor Valery Gergiev. Additionally, the NYO percussion section was coached by So Percussion during our time in New York where we played several chamber pieces, culminating in a performance of Drumming pt. 1 at a So concert.

At NU, I am currently principal of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
