A current member of the Nightingale String Quartet at the University of Nevada, Reno, David Haskins is a violinist who has studied and performed internationally, both in the United States under Stephanie Sant’Ambrogio, Nancy Bargerstock, and in Barcelona, Spain under Kai Gleusteen.

An active chamber and orchestral player, Mr. Haskins has also performed with the Reno Philharmonic, the Reno Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony of the Mountains, the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra, the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra, and has participated in masterclasses for Bella Hristova and Jonathan Vinocour.

Mr. Haskins made his solo orchestral debut with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina at age 16, and has since appeared solo with the Symphony of the Mountains and the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra, performing works by John Williams and Ravel.

In 2015 he spent seven months studying abroad, taking Spanish language classes from the Universitat de Barcelona, performing with the Universitat de Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, and receiving violin instruction at the Liceu Conservatory. In December 2015 he graduated with honors from the Appalachian State University.
