Kenneth Holmes studied with Eliza Jeffords at Texas Lutheran University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Viola Performance. He is currently a master's student at The University of Texas at Austin, studying Viola Performance with Roger Myers. Kenneth is an active performer, and has been a section violist with the Mid-Texas Symphony since 2013. He has also served as section and principal violist with the Southwest Symphony of New Mexico. In addition to performing, Kenneth is also a successful teacher. He has taught violin and music theory at the TLU Summer Strings Camp, volunteered at the TLU Community Music Academy, taught beginning violin class at Timberwood Park Elementary School, and maintained a studio of about 20 violin and viola students at Antonio Strad Violin. Most recently, Kenneth has joined the staff at 26-Music School, where he instructs viola, violin, and piano.
