Juliet Kim began studying the violin at age 4. At age 8, Juliet began her pre-college studies at The Colburn School in Los Angeles, performing with the youth orchestras, the LA Opera, and in the chamber institute. Juliet was awarded with the Herbert Zipper Scholarship in conjunction with the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship. Juliet was also awarded the Wesley Bing Leung Scholarship Award for Leadership for her dedication and achievement as the concertmaster of the Colburn String Orchestra. For three summers, Juliet attended the Montecito International Summer Festival where she studied with Lorenz Gamma and Ken Aiso. In additional, Juliet traveled to Austria, Czech Republic, and Poland where she soloed in various cathedrals and performance venues.

Currently, Juliet studies with Stephen Miahky at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. Along with her academic and musical studies, Juliet volunteers at W.O. Smith, a local music school for underprivileged students in the Nashville area.
