Pianist Jingning Jenny Huang is currently pursuing a bachelor of music degree in piano performance at Oberlin Conservatory of Music with professor Alvin Chow. Born in Quanzhou, China, Huang started piano studies at the age of seven under Professor Yifu Yang (2004-2006) and Shuhua Chen (2007-2009). At the age of 17, Huang decided to pursue piano performance major for college in the United States of America, where she studied under Alexander Braginsky (2014-2015) and Tania Spector (2014-2015). In 2015, she got accepted into the Oberlin Conservatory as a scholar. As a soloist, Huang has performed at the Oberlin Conservatory Piano Departmental Recital (2017), Gijón International Piano Festival Marathon Concert (2016), the RPPF Ambassador Concert (2016), and 150th Anniversary of Oberlin Conservatory Celebration (2015). As an accompanist, Huang performed at Oberlin Vocal Department recitals, as well as mutual instrumental recitals. Huang is the recipient of multiple awards, in 2014 Quanzhou Piano Competition, she received 1st place in Western Repertoires Music Award, 2nd place in Young Adult Music Award, and 2nd place in Piano Sonata Music Award. Huang has attended the 2016 Gijón International Piano Festival in Gijon, Spain and 2016 Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival in Florida, US.
