Born and raised in Hong Kong, Tsz To performed as a soloist regularly with local orchestras since his debut in 2007. Performed repertoire includes Haydn’s Cello Concerto, Popper’s Hungarian Rhapsody, Dvořák’s Cello Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations. He has performed under the baton of Lorin Maazel, Gerard Schwarz, Carl Topilow, Harry Davidson, Christopher Wilkins, Yuri Bashmet, Jimmy Chiang, Perry So and Kuokman Lio.
Tsz To is currently pursing a Master of Music degree in Violonello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the United States under the tutelage of Mark Kosower. His past major teachers include Hsinyu Chang and Mingyuen Cheung.
As an achiever of FTCL from Trinity & Guildhall, Tsz To is the Gold Prize winner of the Cleveland Cello Society Competition 2016 – Collegiate Division, the First Place Winner of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2016 - College students and professional musicians and the second runner-up in the Getting to Carnegie – Cello Competition in New York. He is also awarded the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship and the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs Music Scholarship.
