Trent Ransom is a junior in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University majoring in violin performance. Trent currently studies with Cyrus Beroukhim. He previously studied with Teri Einfeldt at the Hartt School Community Division from 2001-2014. Trent was accepted to prestigious programs such as the Preludio Program for Advanced Violinists at the Ithaca College Suzuki Institute, 2011 and 2012 and the Young Artists Orchestra at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in 2013. Trent was a member of the Connecticut Youth Symphony (CYS) from 2011-2014, playing as concertmaster 2013-2014. In 2016 Trent was a young artist in the Round Top Festival Institute Orchestra. He was also chosen for the Hartt Community Division String Honors Recital 2011, 2013, and 2014 and for the NYU Steinhardt String Honors Recital in 2015. An avid chamber musician, he and the members of his piano trio were chosen as the Honors Chamber Music Group at the Hartt Community Division, giving numerous concerts. Other honors include the 2014 winner of the Hartford Musical Club Competition.
