Celil Refik Kaya returns to the Festival Concert Hall stage on January 25 to give another stunning classical guitar performance as his skillful fingers expertly pluck and strum the strings of his guitar in the acoustically-perfect Festival Concert Hall. The program includes works by Joaquin Rodrigo, Agustin Barrios Mangoré and others; and Kaya's own composition, Five Turkish Folk Dances.

ValentineValentine's Concert and Bybee Library Fundraiser at Festival Hill February 8

Dick Smith Family and Friends will perform during the Annual Bybee Library Fundraiser and Benefit Concert at Festival Hill on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Festival Concert Hall featuring An Afternoon of Love Songs. Adult $30. Student $10.

At 3 PM, following the concert, join Festival Hill staff and friends on the Concert Hall stage for a reception with refreshing drinks and delectable Valentine treats from the Festival Hill Kitchen. You will have an opportunity to sponsor a book of your choice for the Adopt-a-Book Program and bid on special silent auction items. Festival Hill in Round Top turns 50 years old this year, but founder James Dick says that when he began his signature project, "I never ever thought about a 50th anniversary."

His main thought, he said Tuesday after lunch at the Menke House dining room, "was to have a place to teach in the summer." The young prodigy had finished studying in Europe and was starting his concert career.

He had students back home in Hutchinson, Kansas when he was 15 years old and again when he was a piano student at the University of Texas at Austin.

Registration is Open for the Annual Herbal ForumRegistration is Open for the Annual Herbal Forum

Register now for the 25th Annual Herbal Forum. Scheduled for March 20 & 21, the forum will focus on Mexican Marigold. Presenters include Susan Belsinger, Gayle Engels, Linda Franzo, Billi Parus, Autumn Schulze and Tina Marie Wilcox.

The two-day annual plant sale and gift shop will be open.

Four workshops are being offered on Friday, March 20, starting at 1:00 pm and again at 3:30 pm. Forum registration is required.
