Spring Giving Day at Festival Hill April 16
Spring Giving Day at Festival Hill

Spring Giving Day at Festival Hill was a huge success, thanks to our wonderful donors. We surpassed our goal of $24,000 and raised $41,070 – enough to fund 6 scholarships.

Why is the Spring Giving Day Campaign important?

On June 2nd, 94 of the most advanced music students from around the world will arrive at Round Top Festival Institute for six weeks of study and performance during the 2019 Round Top Music Festival. They will be mentored by 40 outstanding faculty and work with eight renowned conductors of international stature.

An advanced music program of this caliber requires major funding. Student scholarships are at the core of our educational mission and support the Institute through the six weeks of private lessons, chamber music, orchestral studies and performance opportunities, resulting in the public concerts that many of you experience and enjoy throughout the summer season. Here's what your donation to Round Top Festival Institute helps accomplish:

Each year, $6,000 needs to be raised for each student attending the Institute. This year, the 2019 Scholarship Fund requires $564,000 to fully support the young artists. Efforts to secure resources from several sources are ongoing. Today all campaign gifts will go to support scholarships, and every dollar will help us reach our campaign goal of $24,000. This Spring Giving Day Campaign will fund 4 scholarships.

The WINNERS in the drawing for prizes are:

  • Earl and Jeanne Morelan - Two tickets to the Opening Orchestral Concert of the 2019 Round Top Music Festival on June 8, and passes to the Reception on the Herzstein Plaza that follows.
  • Joseph Levitan - A four pack of tickets to the Institute's 2019 Patriotic Concert on June 30.
  • Mark and Carol Madeley - Two tickets to the Closing Orchestral Concert of the 2019 Round Top Music Festival on July 13, and passes to the Reception on the Herzstein Plaza that follows.
