Giving Tuesday 2018
Giving Tuesday at Festival Hill
Giving Tuesday is here. Round Top Festival Institute has launched its annual 24-hour spring fundraising challenge. The goal of the Spring Giving Day Campaign is to raise $30,000 to help fund the 2019 Scholarship Fund.
Spring Giving Day was a huge success, thanks to our donors! During the 24-hour fundraising challenge on April 17, 2018 we raised $33,550--more than enough to cover tuition scholarships for 5 of our young artists arriving in June.
Why is the Spring Day Giving "Give2RTFInstitute" Campaign important?
Each summer, 90 advanced classical music students come to Round Top Festival Institute to work with faculty and conductors in a six-week program to study and improve their performance skills. Students come from conservatories and music schools all over the world and are selected through a rigorous audition process. To allow student participation based on talent and merit alone, each student is awarded a tuition scholarship of $6,000 to help alleviate financial burden.
Here's what your donation to Round Top Festival Institute helps accomplish:
What do the New York Philharmonic, the National Symphony in D.C., and the Chicago Symphony all have in common? Aside from being three of the top orchestras in the country, they are all employers of Round Top Festival Institute alumni! Many of our students go on to hold significant positions in orchestras and at conservatories and universities on six continents. We are proud of the remarkable professional success our students achieve! Help us prepare more musicians for professional careers by supporting our scholarship program.
Student scholarships are at the core of our educational mission and support the Institute through the six weeks of private lessons, chamber music, orchestral studies and performance opportunities, resulting in the public concerts that many of you experience and enjoy throughout the summer season.
Here's what your donation can do for you:
Today, every donor will be entered into a drawing to receive one of four fun prizes!
