Current Job Openings:Horticulturist/Master Gardener
Full-time position. Round Top Festival Institute is seeking a professional Horticulturist/Master Gardener to manage the cultivated areas of its 210-acre campus. Position cares for the public herb and flower gardens, lawns around historic buildings, and managed wooded areas. Manual labor outdoors in all weather. Formal degree in horticulture or related field is desirable. Professional work experience in gardens and grounds maintenance and management is required. Must be able to work with the public, multi-task, supervise; good communication skills required. Must be fluent in the English language. Computer skills required included Microsoft Word, Excel. Forty hours per week, some evenings and weekends. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays and group health insurance. Job Description
Full-time position. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering phone and routing calls, greeting the public, taking orders over the phone for concerts and forums, data entry in web-based ticket-sales system and Access database. Computer skills required: Microsoft Excel, Word. Some knowledge of Microsoft Access helpful. Must be proficient in English, have good spelling and grammatical skills, good communication skills. Part-Time and Seasonal Positions Open. Campus with 18 buildings, bedrooms, meeting rooms, performance venues, office areas. Work physically demanding; includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms; making beds; laundry; washing windows; restocking amenities and supplies. Must be able to climb and carry weight up and down stairs; bend, twist, lift. Must be able to work alone and unsupervised or part of a team, depending on assignment. Must be proficient in English. Monday thru Friday, some evenings and weekends. Some benefits are available for part-time positions. Part-time employees work on a regular schedule. Seasonal positions are open for busy periods such as Antiques Week. Hours vary.
