On Saturday July 2, 2011,  the Texas Festival Orchestra, conducted by JoAnn Falletta gave a wonderful performance including Richard Strauss’ Don Juan and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations. On the same program, flutist Carol Wincenc was the unforgettable soloist of Christopher Rouse’s Concerto for flute and orchestra.
