Libby Lovejoy who will present again on Saturday December 4, 2010 at 4:00 pm Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” danced by young dancers from Austin brought some of them to dance a ravishing number of romantic dance.

We are very proud to report that the Life Time Achievement from the National Flute Association has been awarded to Carol Wincenc (Previous honored flutists were Jean-Pierre Rampal and James Galway.)
Carol Wincenc will be back to Round Top in 2011. Do not miss her appearance with the Texas Festival Orchestra conducted by JoAnn Falletta on Saturday July 2, 2011!
Our 40th Summer Festival came to a close, which marks the beginning of our 2010-11 August-to-April Series! The Series gets underway on Saturday, August 28th, with our “Prelude to the Afternoons of the Fans of Festival Hill”, a free preview of the year’s coming events. Come join us at 3:00 PM in the Festival Concert Hall to see what we have in store for you! Guest Artists include concert pianist James Dick (our Founder and Artistic Director), guitarist Philippe Bertaud, marimba player Thomas Burritt, and young dancers from Dancers Workshop in Austin presented by Libby Lovejoy. Series events will be introduced by poet Jack Brannon (Poetry Forum), Henry Flowers (Herbal Forum), Kate Pogue (Theatre Forum), and Lamar Lentz (Library and Museum Forums.) John Clare, a classical music enthusiast and professional broadcaster, will emcee the afternoon.
